Who We Are

Bite Our Style, LLC is a social media brand and food and fashion marketing consultancy based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. What started as a fun hobby between close friends has now evolved into a joint business venture dedicated to helping restaurants and brands target millennials.

Through our blog and Instagram page, we provide our niche young professional following with a single platform to find the best restaurants, original recipe ideas and outfit inspiration. We aim to partner with local restaurants and brands to highlight the incredible businesses that Charlotte has to offer, and to bring the best value and unique experiences to our followers.

We're known collectively as Fox and Niks or Niks and Fox, whichever you prefer. We're two corporate professionals by day, with a penchant for good food, great clothes and even better vibes by night. We live in Charlotte, NC, but we're almost always on the road. Join us as we document Instagram-worthy restaurants, both at home and abroad, and the fire meals we cook up at home.

Niks and Fox met in 2011 at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when Niks ran into Fox's dorm room loud and unannounced. Fox's reaction can be summed up with the meme posted below:

Needless to say, they both recovered and they've been friends ever since.

What You Can Expect

To make a long story short, we will document where we went, what we ate and what we wore. The restaurants that we'll feature will always have a dope atmosphere and good food. Trust us. No, we aren't professional chefs or food critics, but guess what? We're qualified (as far as we're concerned). The recipes we have written (created by Niks, tested by Fox) are inspired by our day-to-day lives, and our travels around the world.

We know the struggle of working 8+ hour days and having to think about what's for dinner. Let us take care of the hard part. Our goal is to comfort you after a hard day at the office, refuel you after a particularly draining workout, or even impress your future bae*!

We'll provide you with Bae Ratings for our Crib Eats and describe the vibes for our Street Eats. What are Bae Ratings you ask? We'll estimate the likelihood of impressing that special someone off of the meal.

🍓The Cocktail vs the Mocktail: Strawberry Guava Refresher Edition! 🍓⠀ ⠀ This drink originally started out as a way to cool down in blistering Charlotte summer heat. We blended frozen strawberries, a little guava nectar, lime juice and some coconut water to make an incredibly refreshing drink, perfect for patio sipping. ⠀ ⠀ But then the weekend rolled around, Fox pulled up with a bottle of @patron (typical), and the Strawberry Guava Margarita was born! We blended fresh and frozen strawberries (If you don’t have frozen, just add ice), tequila, guava nectar and a splash of lime juice. Quick Pantry/Freezer Dinners with Niks:⠀ ⠀ Defrosted some wings, and let them marinate in crushed ginger, crushed garlic, and scallion salt. After roasting at 425, we tossed them in a yuzu honey hot sauce Using @traderjoes yuzu hot sauce. ⠀ Whipped up a batch of coconut curry kale using frozen kale, red onions canned coconut milk, curry paste, crushed ginger, and a ton of chiles and garlic (check the blog for the OG Coconut Curry Collards recipe). ⠀ ⠀ Served with a side of jasmine rice. So we finally got around to drafting a recipe for the easiest recipe ever! Our sesame noodles are the perfect chilled summer side for when you have nothing but pantry staples on hand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nutty tahini, spicy sambal, plus plenty of ginger and garlic come together to create a flavorful creamy sauce that compliments whatever protein you want! It can even stand alone if you’re in the mood for a big fat bowl of carbs 😂. Tried something new tonight! Took our standard dry brined roast chicken (check out our IGTV video, or our “food” highlight for more information), and seasoned it with smoked paprika, garlic, kosher salt and black pepper. ⠀ ⠀ About 10 minutes before it was done, we whipped up a little honey, Dijon mustard and a dash of water, and glazed rhe entire chicken. After returning to the oven to set, the chicken was perfectly roasted with a sweet and tangy finish! ⠀ ⠀ We paired this with roasted kale and red onions, with spicy quinoa. After sautéing the red onions in olive oil, crushed chili pepper and garlic, we deglazed the pan with apple cider vinegar and added the kale. Threw the entire pan in the oven to add some texture and cook through, tossed it with spicy quinoa and served hot.

While we love a good homemade salad dressing, sometimes that’s just not happening 😂. One of our store bought faves comes courtesy of @traderjoes, and it’s absolutely delicious. Fresh herbs, creamy avocado and a hint of citrus? It’s perfection bottled. Pictured: salad with curry roasted chicken thigh, marinated tomatoes, red onion, spinach and quinoa.

Quick breakfasts are the best breakfasts. Eggs scrambled in leftover scallion-garlic butter, balsamic marinated tomatoes over spinach. Dassit.

Big Tom Haverford “Treat Yoself” energy tonight. ⠀ ⠀ Seared a ribeye with Chinese five spice, garlic, and freshly cracked smoked black pepper (check out our IGTV video for a similar recipe!), and finished it with a charred scallion compound butter.⠀ ⠀ The butter is simple: take a fist full of scallions and throw them in a a screaming hot pan (used a grill pan) with a touch of sesame oil and salt. When they’re “charred” and limp, they’re done! Threw them in a food processor with butter and a clove of fresh garlic. Boom. ⠀ ⠀ Marinated the shrimp in soy sauce, chili-garlic sauce, and ginger. Hit them with a squeeze of orange to finish. ⠀ ⠀ Sautéed the asparagus and red onion in sesame oil and crushed ginger. Finished with a splash of rice wine vinegar at the end for some brightness. ⠀
